My new toy... NOKIA X6

Posted by Ronny in Ramblings

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Yup, this is turning to be quite a "happy" beginning for me. Having to celebrate new year's eve in Singapore was something new for me and pretty fun as well.

I just got me the latest Nokia X6 as a Christmas present from my mum and sister and it's by far the best present I've gotten.

Nokia X6

Nokia X6

After playing around with it for slightly more than a week, here's what I feel about the phone. The touch-screen feels kinda laggy to me but then again, maybe I'm so used to my iPod Touch that my expectations of this phone wasn't up to par... with regards to response time with the touch-screen. The 32GB internal memory is definitely more than enough for what I wanna do with a phone and with it's 3.2" 16:9 widescreen display, everything appears so crisp and clear. Even though I've been having this phone slightly more than a week, I still haven't really tested out its full potential and what it can do. One thing's for sure... the sounds quality it great because of its built in stereo speakers. Some of you may not agree but hey.. it's a phone, not a media player. Who gives a crap! LOL!

Road trip to JB (Johor Bahru)

Posted by Ronny in Ramblings

SEPTEMBER 26, 2009 - My buddy, Kam (Kamarul Azwan) and I started off our journey to JB for the first time again after almost 10 years since we last gone on a long distance drive together. It was a Saturday and we had packed our stuff the night before as we were both working that same day. Knocked off work at 1pm and headed straight home as Kam was already on his way to my place to park Shah's (the buddy we were gonna visit over in JB) car and drive my car down.

I volunteered to drive first but little did I know I was too tired and sleepy. My car was swerving left to right less than an hour behind the wheel so naturally Kam had to take over. I didn't really get to take much photos as I was in "dreamland" half the time. Anyway, I did get a couple of nice shots of the sunset along Danga Bay.

"Beautiful, ain't it?"

"The Infamous Danga Bay"

"Got a shot off from inside the car"

Dinner was something I was so looking forward to the entire trip. I had been craving the Seafood Fried Rice and the Milk Squid thingy (don't ask me... I just know that it's a SUPERB dish but can't recall what you call it.) Fortunately for me, Shah took to liberty to order something else which was also as mouth watering and that was the Curry Prawns. I was too engrossed with the delicious food that I took photos of all dishes except the Milk Squid thingy. Dang! Oh well, all I can say is... there's no place in KL or in Malaysia that I've eaten such a yummy-licious seafood fried rice before... and that's just the fried rice. Combined with the other two dishes I just mentioned, and you have an excellent meal which you will crave for more the next time around.

"The wrapped up Seafood Fried Rice"

"I can never get enough of this"

"Curry Prawns - YUMMY!"

Ahhh... I can't for my next trip down to JB again. Food... HERE I COME!!!

My debut on-screen

Posted by Ronny in Ramblings

How it all started...

I was out chllin' with my buddies when I got a call from my mum telling me that I got a in a local drama. To cut the story short, it was a drama on Astro Ria (Channel 104) called Salsamuay. Salsamuay is a 13 episode drama which I appear in 12 of the episodes.

It's about a Muay Thai boxer and a Salsa dancer (hence the name, Salsamuay) falling in love with each other. I play the role of the brother to the girl whom the Muay Thai boxer falls in love with. Anyway, this all happened almost 2 years ago. Here's a sample of the trailer shown on Astro. You can see me in the beginning and the ending of the trailer...

That was my first time acting on-screen but it wasn't my first time in front of the camera. My sister and I did our first MTV for Datuk Ahmad Nawab and Steve Thornton. The video was shot on April 23, 2006 at Titiwangsa Lake at 11am but we only wrapped up at around 5pm onwards. It was so hot and humid during the entire shoot but we had fun at the same time. You can see my sister and I appearing in the video when the time shows 1.54. I don't recall much but we were so tired, it shows on our faces. It wasn't much of a dance scene. We were just supposed to mingle with the band members and dance around and having loads of fun. Datuk himself was a fun fella to work with and so is Steve.

Here's the MTV I was talking about...

Last but not the least... was my first time appearing on RTM but this was a 1(one) scene thingy only. It's a drama called Gadis Kosmo. This scene was taken at our dance studio and you can check out the photos that was taken during the shoot.

Here's the scene at our dance studio and myself with the actresses with some dialogs.

Well folks... that's about it for now. I'll be sure to update ya'll if anything like this ever occurs again. Besides, it's kinda fun being on-screen and although it is rather tiring at times.... but what the heck! I enjoy doing it.

Motorcycle RULEZ!!

Posted by Ronny in Ramblings

Come to think of it, I can't really recall when was the last time I was on a motorcycle but I know it's been AGES and when I had to rush home the other day, my buddy...Mack offered to take me home `cause it was rush hour and DAMN, it was FUN! I mean... weaving in and out of traffic and seeing all those cars stuck was a great feeling for me. Just for the fun of i, I even managed to take some shots of us doing just that. LOL!

Can't deny that it was rather fun but at the same time, I know I'll never really be a "bike" person but when the moon is blue... who cares?!?!

My nephew

Posted by Ronny in Ramblings

June 10, 2009 - That was the day my lil' nephew, Muhammad Aqeel Raees came into this world and put a smile on everyone's face. Ain't he cute looking?

As I mentioned to my brother when he had his first born, I said that luckily his son came out looking NOTHING like him... and after looking at Aqeel, I can safely say that he still doesn't look anything like his father. LOL!

To my lil' nephew, welcome to the family!!! WE LOVE YOU!

Working as a Building Executive

Posted by Ronny in Ramblings

Ahhh... the wonders of working as a Building Executive (BE). I was just sitting down and recalled some of the funny and "colorful" people I've met during my time here as BE. One of the funniest incident that I recall best was during my 1st month. One resident came in and wanted to make a complaint regarding the Security Guards. Here's how the conversation went :

Resident : I've got a complaint to make regarding your guards!!!
Me : Oh.. What's it about?
Resident : They always smile at me and it gets me so irritated.
Me : (raised eyebrows) Errrmmm... You want them to cry the next time they see you?
Resident : It's not that. Just tell them to stop smiling because one day I got so upset with them, I got off my motorcycle and scolded them.
Me : You mean you scolded them for smiling at you? (keeping a straight face)
Resident : YES!! I like to write an official report against them.
Me : Sure. Here's the complaint book (handing resident the book)
Resident : (while looking at me) What should I write?
Me :
(trying not to laugh) Just write down, "Security Guards smiled at me".
Resident : (paused for a moment) It's ok... Here's the book but just tell them NOT to smile at me anymore.
Me : (snickering away) Sure.. don't worry.

During that point of time, my clerk was giggling away in the background while I was trying so hard NOT to burst out laughing. There are more "tales" to tell of my experience working as an BE but lets save those stories for another day.

Connected again!

Posted by Ronny in Ramblings

Ahh... It's feels great to be online again after being absent from the NET these past couple of weeks.

My buddy, Prem was nice enough to borrow me his extra WiFi router so I can use it at my office while I get me a new one. I was actually having difficulties setting up the router but I realised that I made a small "boo boo" and now that it's working like clockwork... be sure to check out my site from time to time as I will be updating it on a regular basis.

Meanwhile, my site was down since last night until this afternoon `cause there was some error with my scripts. CRAPPY!
At least I finally manage to rectify the problem ans here I am... ready to BLOG again or in my case, READY TO RAMBLE!!! LOL!

Good Gurlz VS Bad Gurlz

Posted by Ronny in Jokes

Here's something I thought I'd share with the rest of you.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good girls loosen a few buttons when it's hot. Bad girls make it hot by loosening a few buttons.

Good girls only own one credit card and rarely use it. Bad girls only own one bra and rarely use it.

Good girls wax their floors. Bad girls wax their bikini lines.

Good girls blush during love scenes in a movie. Bad girls know they could do it better.

Good girls think they're not fully dressed without a strand of pearls. Bad girls think they're fully dressed with just a strand of pearls.

Good girls wear high heels to work. Bad girls wear high heels to bed.

Good girls say, "No." Bad girls say, "When?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Grrrr... Down boy! Hehehehehe!*
